in BR, looking to replace some tires on my wrangler. going up to 315/70R17. should I go online or look for someone local? recommendations are appreciated (I already have properly backspaced rims, so fitting them won't be a problem.)

I bought my last two sets from Amazon
My wife's tires came from tire-rack.

I always go to Skidmarks. Plus you get free oil changes and tire rotations when you buy tires from them.

Treaddepot was my latest

You might want to look at the prices on tirerack dot com.
They usually ship from Shreveport, and get to BR in a day.
I take mine to Tink at Highland Car Care. He installs them very reasonably and comes with free entertainment.

Find what you want on line for the price you like. Take tire request and price to your local tire shop and they will most likely match the price. That way you don't have to worry about having them shipped then schlepping them to a tire place to have the, mounted and balanced.
If they can't match the price then ship and schlep.

I'll prolly take the prices from tread depot and tire rack and head over to skid marks

I used tirebuyer .com and they shipped them to a installer free of charge. Install was cheap and quick. Saved about 100.00 on 4 installed.

Basically saving on taxes is what it amounted to for me

Cothern tires in Central. After tire selection and pricing ask if they have a discount for cash. You may be surprised...

I did the research on tirerack.com and then just had someone local get them and install for me...would have been almost exactly the same price if I had ordered them directly from tirerack...
