New Boat

Posted by LS(DB)U on 4/25/24 at 3:06 am
Big subject short: TX waters, ie lakes. Desire comfort, storage, good price point. Fiberglass? Hull shape? Back in LA Jon Boat all day. Ease of use a huge component with health concerns/easy trailering. Any out there that will allow me to hit the lakes hard and bring home to the flats? ...

A few?? But specifically the Benelli Ultra Light 20 for fun, the A5 20 I’ll wait for prettier stocks & the Colt Python revolver. With the Benelli Ultra Light, I’m having a hard time not grabbing the one on the shelves but I know the little improvements go a long way w Benelli’s in my experience. ...

Shot Show 2024 Arrival to Dealers

Typically, when do we start seeing guns from Shot Show hit local dealer shelves or online dealers? I'm wanting to purchase a turkey shotgun but not sure they will drop before season. Thanks for the info/past experience....

I’d be interested in learning more about the Bring A Kid Fishing outfit. Fishing is my 12 year old Godson’s passion and it’s truly a gift from above for him. An escape and passion. Thanks for any help. Thanks for donating your rods to people that really need it!...

Does anyone know of a good Coyote taxidermist who specializes in tanning hides & making hats near Lafayette/Baton Rouge area? I used to do my own hides but this takes someone far more trained than I and wish to put all of the animal to good use. Thanks Thank you...

Any other OB’s w opinions on the Xpress boats? So many series. Which would you all choose for backwaters to the bay? Still can’t figure out if fiberglass or aluminum is better for bayous Thanks everyone, much appreciated info above!...

I fly fish a lot. I know our lakes and small bayous with a lot of downed structure is where it would spend a majority of the time but would also love to have an all arounder… I grew up with Jon Boats and a Boston Whaler for the coast. Coastal Marsh for reds every now and then and the rest wou...

Thanks for the reply. Do you suggest aluminum due to our Louisiana waterways? I mean I don’t see many fiberglass boats fishing our smaller bayous...

First Time Boat Purchase

I know, don't do it. However, if I do: Center Console is a definite. What is the OB opinion (and tips) for an outdoors expert on land, very little at "sea". I would want something short, small, hybrid hull (like a Mako) and under 30k new or used. Louisiana waters, fly fish (so open decks) and ma...

I really think weather is playing into a lot of this and at some point down the road everything will have to be reassessed. Kinda like I miss tiger stadium night games where they sold blankets and you actually needed them!...

Very interesting & many thanks. So consensus is possibly too many does? And/or the aborted fetus perhaps? It’s the only one I’ve seen so far this year....
