bring him in for obvious passing situations and let him get that experience

Assuming he is in shape in August of course

This is also a good plan.

The SEC will put a hold on him until midway through his Jr. year. Unless of course he doesn't enroll at LSU but does enroll at Ala.

Why August? If he's cleared he should be able to arrive immediately. Unless he's already missed too much summer school, which would make sense.

He isn't enrolled yet. Can't stay on campus if you aren't in school. Plus coaches can't really do anything with the players rt now. They would either have to be enrolled in school, or pay for their own place to live if they wanted to hang around br during the summer.

All it takes is one call from a prominent SEC coach and they'll bury him in red tape for the year

But Moffitt can. Still, good to hear he's gotten clearance from the always timely NCAA.

Yeah he's likely missed too much summer school to enroll now.

It's a good plan on Arden Key--hope he reports in August, fully ready to go and contribute to this season's team!

On the other point: I still think LSU doesn't have that much depth at DT--it may well be that Lacoutre and Goudchaux will be very close to every down players, unless others develop.

Yeah...or you could stick him on the end on 3rd and 5 or more and let him rush the tits out of the passer. You people do realize that you don't have to sit out a year in order to add weight, right? Also, that good players are NOT staying for 5 years under any circumstances, right? Redshirting a talented or apparently talented player, PARTICULARLY at a spot where you need impact and depth, is beyond dumb unless he is severely injured.

Who cares, it's not like he can do anything other than summer conditioning anyway. Also he'll be pretty much just a pass rush specialist his first year. I want to see him come off the edge as a 3-4 pass rush specialist this year.

Nah pretty sure O has said he's playing this year. We will need him probably going to be our best pure pass rusher we have. Hopefully has a season like the a&m DE last year. Can't wait to see this line and how diff they look if any? Hope Valentine finally gets his playing time, I'm sure he will be pumped the frick up.

This was stupid even before LSU Valentined him. The young man is obviously lazy as shite.
