There is an Aldi in Apopka. They have frozen pizza like Tombstone for $1.99.

they should remove the "S" and "A" from SNAP since none of the users view it as supplemental assistance.

College student life right there. $25 a week to eat from. Easily doable if you don't buy chicken, pork, ground beef, steak, or milk. Eat lunch meat sandwiches, canned or frozen fruits and vegetables, eggs or oatmeal for breakfast, cook pasta in bulk and eat on it for a few meals a week

There's some Louisiana law that prohibits sales on milk.

Another board that is against the free enterprise system and should be disbanded. Cronyism created a bunch of dairy millionaires.

I'd be surprised if she eats meat as 'delicate' as she is.

$29 is plenty enough to live on for a week. There's probably a couple of billion people around the world whose entire income for a week (not just food expense) is around that level. It's pretty straightforward actually, just rely on lots of rice and dried (not canned) beans or lentils.

I see that she picked 7 limes. Everyone needs Vitamin C (remember scurvy?) but one lime would have been enough. Cilantro and garlic? Cmon. They taste good but are hardly necessary.

You could probably live for a week for $15.

1. Buy rice and dried beans for the carbs.
2. Throw in a head of cabbage or collard greens for vitamins, maybe also a lemon or lime.
3. ????
4. $29-15 profit.

And 5. Invest the profit from step 4 into the next week.

The bigger problem is the ability to get and heat enough water to boil the rice and beans, but that probably didn't cross Paltrow's mind. For the billion in the world who live like this every day water availability is a huge deal, they'll walk miles to a well to get it. For people on SNAP getting water is trivially easy, municipal water is free. Even if you're homeless you're just a water fountain away.

lulz when did white people become native to america

The guy you're responding to is being sarcastic.

But, this wasn't America until the white people showed up. Prior to that it was a land of resources being dwindled by people who fought and slaughtered each other while rape and kidnapping was part of the normal course of life. There was nothing quaint or delicate about those who were here pre-America.

How the hell do some of y'all eat on less than $100 dollars per week? Hell, I'm very mindful of how much I spend at the grocery store and on a great week I come in around $110. Usually it's about $140.

The only way I can see a grown man eating on 40-60 dollars a week is if they don't give 2 shits about what they look like. I probably eat 6 sandwiches a day in-between the meals I cook.

I don't know why milk is so pricey in LA.

The state government sets minimum sales prices. Can't sell for less than 6% over cost.

It's a little cheaper when you remove the 42 sandwiches.
