I'm gonna retire somewhere around 2045. I was thinking like 2 million, but with inflation that's not much at all. How much do ya'll think is enough for an upper middle class lifestyle?

Hoping that I can just own a business that practically runs itself and I just take all the profits. That's how real OT Ballers work bruh.

Forcing myself into early retirement.

Depends on where you live and what style you want to maintain.

If your house and vehicles are paid off, as well as kids done with college, your number can be a lot lower.

For me, I don't want to set a number. I'm not a guy that will define myself by how much I've made at the end of my rope anyway, but I can say that I will never stop striving to hit a new mark or think up something new or take a calculated risk if an opportunity arises. One day it will be time to hang it up and enjoy the twilight I have left. Until then, I don't want to set a mark. If I hit the mark I MIGHT become content.

But if I had a gun to my head? 10 million, for starters!

Depends how liquid that is.

Do you have other recurring revenue? Rental income, dividends, SSI?

Are you in debt? House paid off?
