I had my bike stolen off my back porch in a nice neighborhood about two years ago. I was pissed. I responded by moving to a better neighborhood.

I'm happy you got your bike back, Pee Wee. I think everyone here will agree you look very happy.

As a fellow cyclist, congrats on getting your bike back! You usually take it as a loss if it gets stolen. Bleh.

PDATE.....Got a call about 30 minutes ago from Baylor PD......figured he just wanted some more info......they have my bike. Apparently an APB went out when they realized who I was.....Dallas PD spotted a suspicious character riding my GT....racial profiling no doubt.....he had other stolen property on him as well as the cut cable lock....he admitted he stole it from Baylor Hospital campus so a high level detective team was sent to retrieve my bike

Good on DPD and BPD. If a bike gets stolen in Nola, that shite is gone. NOPD don't give a damn. I have kept my nicer bike inside since moving here and rarely take it out somewhere where I know it will be locked up outside. I have a beater bike I use for locking up at places.

Dammit, Zappa. I hope you learned your lesson. U-Lock and cable lock. Always.

I know its extremely racist and definitely racial profiling, but I bet if cops went into the ghetto and checked every person on a bike, they'd be able to find quite a few stolen bikes. Especially when you see a grown arse man riding a kid's BMX bike. You damn well know he didn't go stand in line at Academy to buy that bike.

Do you really want it back? It's been in the possession of an obvious scum who presumably had their nasty, cheesy , criminal arse on the seat. It's kinda tainted. Can you get back from your home owner insurance?

I imagine it didn't take long for a beautiful mustache riding an old bicycle to become famous.

Glad to hear you got it back - getting your bike jacked sucks. I know the feeling.

I'm happy your bicycle was recovered. Any word on the Creedence tapes?

I might have had some sympathy for your temporary plight if you hadn't added in this needless bit of attention whorishness:

I know how that is. I have a 1984 centurion ironman expert (purp and gold). It's worth a lot to me because of the miles I put on it but not much to anyone else.
