Put it this way, I'm fairly certain Cam Cameron would like to see Harris get some meaningful playing time, if for no other reason than 'just in case'.

The QB 'battle' appears to be over, but you also need your #2 guy to have some reps just in case. One hit or nick, and boom...we might need a ready and tested BH to step in.

"LSU probably should have tried to pass more, but that Bama d-line was pretty stout. Hard to fault him too much."

No, it's really pretty easy to fault him for that. Miles has done a lot of great things as the LSU coach, but preparing the team to play on 1/9 and the in-game coaching on 1/9 were very, very poor.

Why is the backup QB always the most popular guy on the team? This is like every year. Last year it was Jennings who needed to play. AJ is young too, and needs all the game reps he can get.

We have 2 QBs, I agree Jennings needs reps...so does Harris. We have two games where both should get plenty of snaps. State is good, win that game, then we have another game where both can get some reps.

After that(assuming we beat State which like Wisconsin is not a given), we need to be able to play big boy football.

My fear is that when Jennings struggles and he will or worse gets hurt, and Harris doesn't get any reps running the offense in the next four or three of four games. This season could get ugly fast. Harris needs to throw the ball some.

I trust that Les and Cam realize this and it will happen.

Just think back to when Jarrett Lee was thrown in the mix way before he was ready. Dude set records for INT's and INT's returned for TD's his first year.

In hopes of not repeating past mistakes/history alone, logic says to play BH as much as possible just in case something happens to AJ.

I seriously doubt it. miles doesn't allow others to pick his line up (unless it's a coach).

Harris will get junk plays and just hand it off or take a knee

No - Les only gives backup QBs a few snaps all year.

If we put the game away by third quarter CLM willplay him- BH did not help himself by entering the game and not understanding the play call. There is no excuse for not knowing the playbook if you want to play.

Seems like BH may have some maturing to do. I would say the ball is now in BH's court and he is going to have to work harder to impress CLM.

I agree that there are times when he appears to be insanely stubborn. Weird.

How do you know it's stubborness? Maybe he knows Jennings is the number one, but has decided to keep the competition going to motivate the QBs. This goes back to the same thing: if a tree falls in the forest, with nobody near, did it make a noise? Or, if I didn't see the QBs in practice can one of them have actually won the job?

It has to be stubbornness. If it's not that, it would mean that Coach Miles and staff know what they are doing...which cannot, and never will be, the case to many fans.

IMO, people are overselling Jennings big time. He played mediocre for 3 quarters. If he was clearly better than Harris, Harris would've never seen the field against Wisconsin.

Jennings is still gonna have to fight to keep this job. I still think there's a legitimate chance that Harris takes the job this year if Jennings can't be more consistent.
