I agree but i think it is just an excuse in most cases. One of my best friends has lost a few jobs because of the work she misses. She tells me her cramps are terrible...i know her very well and she really just doesn't want to work. They never prevent her from partying and fishing

If chicks miss more work than men, I don't see why they wouldn't get paid less in general. You'd tend to pay more for someone more reliable statistically. The difference isn't the. 77 Obama quoted though

The rules are either the same or they aren't. And you just proved they aren't.
Also, I can't tell you how many times I've seen women promise to come back to work after maternity leave (rack up all kinds of healthcare bills on the group) and then never return to work.

According to that study, females took 12.9 days off versus 8.12 for men. So what are the men's excuse for all that sick leave?

Even if that only factors in pregnancy. Which we realize it is important and you should get paid for your time off. But why would an employer want to hire an equally qualified woman over a man, pay them the exact same, if it is more than likely they will miss an extended amount of time from work more than once.

Paternity leave is much more extensive and prevalent outside the US. Cant remember exactly which countries though. Discussed it in length in one of my classes though
