Neat, Distilled Water, or 1 ice cube

How do you drink your good Scotches and Bourbons? This may have been asked before but...
IMO
Heat is good to a certain extent, but if you add a little distilled water you can get the heat but open up the flavors of the bourbon.
The only reason I ask is cause I really don't know the preferable way to drink it, and I think there are differing view points meant to be argued.
So how do you drink your Bourbon or Scotch? Go...

Depends upon the quality for me. I typically drink pretty good bourbons and scotches with one ice cube if having just a bit. If drinking more every day bourbon, I'll go with two or three. On high end Scotch, I take it neat.

1 ice cube in Bourbon, I don't drink Scotch.
Juban's has a very nice selection of super premium Bourbons.

Nailed it. Really depends on what I'm drinking. Usually a rule for me is the peatier the scotch the more likely I am to put a rock in it. I never use water and rarely put more than two rocks in anything, unless I'm drinking Old Crow then I'll use a whole styrofoam cup of ice.

One or two cubes for bourbon.

I used to add one cube but of late I've gone neat on both.

Couple of cubes for either one. Just experiment and drink them the way you like them.

Usually a few cubes of ice and a small splash of water.

Unless the ice cube is tiny and then I add a couple.

I like a little ice and maybe a slash of water in a highball. I also like a 20oz double solo cup sloshed full of ice and old charter.

One classic cocktail size cube.

Depends on how I'm feeling and what I'm drinking. I drink some of my bourbon neat sometimes but most the time with a few cubes. Sometimes I'll use the Tovolo ice spheres also.

This or neat. I love to fill a solo cup with crushed ice and put a couple of inches of Dickel in the cup to work a party. I like how it frosts the outside of the cup. One drink like that can last an hour or so walking around a party.

Depends on how I'm feeling at the moment. I will either go one cube or neat. Usually neat when it's cold out.

If at home, i add some water.
If at a football game, I add sprite to bourbon, soda water to scotch.
