Actually what would you recommend for storage? SSD, micro SSD, anything new out?

1tb SSDs are pretty cheap now. I think they're like $125

I don’t think he’s gonna swing for a used 1080ti, guess a 1070ti will suffice? Or a 1080?

I'm building a PC for my nephew. I can put it together but when it comes to knowing the difference between parts i'm lost. Trying to stick with mostly all white parts for aesthetics.

PC Part Picker

CPU
AMD - Ryzen 7 1700X 3.4 GHz 8-Core Processor

CPU Cooler
Corsair - H60 (2018) 57.2 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler

Motherboard
MSI - B450M MORTAR TITANIUM Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard

Memory
Team - T-Force Delta RGB 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000

Storage
Samsung - 860 Evo 500 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive

GPU
MSI - Radeon RX 570 8 GB ARMOR OC Video Card

Case
Corsair - Carbide Series 275R (White w/Tempered Glass) ATX Mid Tower Case

PSU
EVGA - SuperNOVA G2 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

The AMD - Ryzen 7 1700X 3.4 GHz 8-Core Processor and AMD - Ryzen 5 2600 3.4 GHz 6-Core Processor are priced similarly what is the difference?

1700x is first gen 8c/16t ryzen on 14 nm process.

2600 is 2nd gen 6c/12t ryzen on 12 nm process.

I would go with the 2600 because of the better ram compatibility plus newer manufacturing process.

If your nephew still needs the 2 extra cores, the 1700x isn't a bad buy.

If your nephew is purely gaming, the 8600k isn't a bad buy either.

Kinda impulse bought an older razer blade 2014 for $200.

Not a bad little machine so far. Trackpad and keyboard are realing freaking awesome. Having the 4720hq and 870m are a nice plus too.

Battery is shot, so I gotta spend ~$70 on a new one.

Have your ear plugs?

Edt: what did everyone else impulse buy yesterday?

I bought 4 more 4K PoE cameras for the house.

It's actually pretty damn quiet. Obviously if I were to game on it, I'd probably have on headphones

Edit: Nothing from black friday for me. Used the eBay 15% off coupon a few days ago to grab some Pokemon cards ( ) , NCAA 14 for my 360 and another auto graphed jersey and frame for it

Wait until the next 15% off eBay coupon and get one. Easily the cheapest time to get one

Is this in response to Blue's Razer Blade from 2014?

2014 with Kepler GPU to push over 60FPS? Is this the question?

Is it one of those 1st gen ones with a ton of lag?

Razers Blades are awesome regardless.

Only time I plan on gaming on it "heavily" is when it's going to be hooked up to my TV to run n64 and Gamecube ROMs, so I don't think the lag should be too bad
