It really pisses me off that you can't turn it on without unplugging it unless you have a controller dedicated to it
Yes! That is so fricking stupid. Also, if you're like me and use a wireless 360 controller, you still can't wake it up without replugging. Also, if you leave the game paused/idle long enough for the wireless controller to turn off, you have to restart the game in order for the controller to work again. My Samsung TV doesn't have these issues, though.

20 years ago when I was 30 this was the type of hardware available.
My FPS twitch skills were gone before we knew what twitch skills were.

Back in the day used to rock it with windows 98 se with a massive 64megs of sdram pc100 powering it was all powered by an amd k6-2 500mhz cpu, video specs sis550 i think 4 or 8 megs of integrated video memory and for storage had a nice 10gig hd . For internet dialup..lol terrible experience but webpages where lighter back then to so its not exactly as comparable today dialup is far worse now. Also pc was purchased somewhere towards the end of 98 paid over 1k for it people wanna complain about price on current tech..was higher years ago and the older products are crap by todays standards

I've got a PC gaming mag from 20 years ago and get a kick out of the high end specs at the time.
Obsidian made a video card that had 2 Voodoo 2s crammed onto one board for $600.

I bet all those setups were touted as future-proof. Though back in the day you might get a few more years of life from motherboards.

Yeah, the 32MB TNT2 Ultra was out like 3 months later.
I forgot all about the Zip drive.

After losing half its value, Nvidia faces reckoning
quote:
Over the past two months, Nvidia’s stock has dropped from a closing price of $289.36 on October 1 to today’s opening of $148.42, a decline of 48.8 percent.
It takes a lot for a company to lose nearly half its value in such a short period of time, but Nvidia is proving that an otherwise strong technology business can disappear in the blink of an eye. The company faces an almost perfect barrage of headwinds to its core products that is stalling its plans for long-term chip domination.
When it comes to owning next-generation application workflows, Nvidia is facing robust competition from startups and established players who want access to this potentially gigantic market. Even its potential customers are competing with it. Facebook is reportedly designing its own chips, Apple has been doing so for years, Google has been in the game a while and Amazon is getting into the game fast. Nvidia has the know-how to compete, but these companies also understand the nuances of their applications really, really well. It’s a tough market position to be in.

Hopefully they don't go the way of 3dfx. That would take a lot to do.

I have never seen anyone dedicate themselves to hating a company while stroking off a competitor, it's really quite impressive.
IDGAF who makes my video cards, I just want the best performance, I have owned both AMD and nVidia.

Has nothing to do with AMD and they are not mentioned once in the article.

RDR2 PC leak?
Phone recording showing display settings, monitor changes with resolution change.
Same thing that was shown in the GTA5 PC leak.

Didn't think it was a very controversial post. Dumb consumers like to think their tech is future proof. I up voted myself though, so I can sleep soundly tonight. Cute pup.
