the guy played in the NFL and played fairly well at times...I think he could've handled the SEC at that time.

I don't think it's entirely going off of ability though. You've gotta account for championships and winning percentage.

It seems to have no real metric at all.
That article saying he's won 3 NCs is a bit of a stretch though. He's already one of the most decorated and successful QBs of all time, why the hell fudge and say he won an NC the year he redshirted?

Same here. I thought Davey also had a shot at landing on the top 75 list if someone had really been paying attention.
Neat idea, but I am floored that McCarron is that high and while I hate to pump up Auburn and Ole Miss players, Newton and Eli Manning are far too low. Newton only played one year, but it was absurd, and Manning carried his Ole Miss team.

Vince Young is without question one of the best QB's of the BCS era. Not sure what you're trying to say. Besides, Kansas has more BCS Bowl wins than Ole Miss.

exactly.
McCarron has progressed nicely though, I'll give him that. I didn't think he had it in him to step up and have the kind of game he did the Title game vs. LSU.
he can get the ball down the field A LOT better than McElory ever did. He has been pretty efficient but I guess that is easier to accomplish when you have a solid running attack to help set that up.
Lacey & Yelding both went for over 100 yards in the SEC Championship and the National Title vs. Notre Dame. That is pretty incredible.

Obviously a career accomplishment list.
No one accomplished more last decade with wins, yards, Heisman/Maxwell honors and conference/national titles than Leinart and Tebow.
