Ruth's Chris Appreciation

The gf and I had our Valentine's Day dinner just about runined by an extremely intoxicated couple sitting next to us. The manager removed the bottle of wine from the bill and apologized. After writing a letter to describe the night, the entire bill was refunded and we received a gift certificate.
Excellent way to treat customers/clients. We will be enjoying many more filets and praline freezes in the future.

What's a praline freeze? Never had one of those there.

i usually frown against such practices but in cases like this i would do just the same, or really just handle it there in the restaurant.

You always seem to be looking for a hand out. i.e. You trying to get a refund on a chartered fishing trip because you didn't catch a fish you wanted.

Went there for my birthday dinner in october... had a rude waitress. We called the manager the next day just to tell him about her and to talk to her. He refunded the entire $600 meal and sent me a $150 gift card
We didn't ask to be refunded because the food was damn good... but I'm not going to say no to him giving us $600 back

And in your fishing thread you said it was people like me that made this country the way it is. Seems it is the people like that always want soemthing for nothing.
I feel like I can almost predict your next thread:
I filled my truck this morning and the pump was slow. I am writing a letter to the CEO of shell in hopes of getting rights to an oil well as compensation.

Ruth's gives out lots of freebies. My roommate works there and I see gift cards all over the house
That said, I think taking advantage of their great management is a bit much. Children can be just as annoying as a drunk couple in a nice restaurant but I'd ask to be moved or just chalk it up to bad luck before I write the restaurant about it.
What did you really expect with the letter? If they would have just written you back apologizing with no free shite, would you have written them off?

Be more specific. What did said couple exactly do to "ruin" your valentine's day dinner?

Post the letter and I think that will answer a lot of questions on your true intent of the letter

I know people like you. Service would have been excellent, but freeloaders like you, will find something to bitch about, in order to get a free meal. One thing, ahole, what goes around, comes around, and your day is definitely coming. BTW, I know a manager at TJ Ribs in BR. and your post describes exactly what happened in his restaurant two months ago. Unfortunately, you weren't given the compensation that you were looking for, because the security cameras showed the exact opposite of what you bitched about. Guess what? More restaurants are now installing cameras in their dining areas and once you make a false claim, the restaurant can go after you. I can't believe that Ruth's doesn't have cameras. You want something for nothing, but some establishment will go after you. Do you own anything that you can claim that you own outright? I remember reading the posts that you deleated, and you're nothing but a low class piece of crap. Enjoy your wine you low life.

Damn 8 pages? Is there some cliff notes?
What is the cheapest bottle of wine there? $40-50 dollars?
Thats a pretty nice comp. Shouldnt be need for a follow up except maybe to just say thanks and let the managment know that the guy that gave you a free bottle is doing a great job.

I fail to see where it's the restaurant's fault for a drunk couple that was sitting close to you. Really and truly they didn't have to do anything "extra" (other than move you if you asked) and they went ahead and did it anyway with the wine ... I think the letter you sent was unncecessary.
Sounds to me like if you were uncomfortable you could have easily asked to move to a different table, and I'm sure they would have accomodated you.

Is treble hook the FD Board equivalent of ThatLSUBoy or Trill hog?
