Double IPA ABV: 8.3% IBU: 100+ Color: Copper With assertive American hop bitterness and aroma supported by a firm malt backbone, Racer X is an uncommon Double IPA – a bold ale that follows English traditions with a California twist.

Love Bear Republic. Hop Rod is one of my absolute favorite beers of all time.

I've had Racer X on tap a couple years ago. Damn good! But I'd put Oscar Blues Gubna up there with it. And when St. Arnolds releases Endeavour, that will be the one to beat.

Sorry I am late to the party gentlemen, but I have been really busy at work today--I hate it when that happens. Can't wait to head home soon for FBD.

There's a brewery just down the road from me called Jester King.

They have tastings every Saturday, so I believe we'll be hitting it up this weekend.

Have any of you Austin people been?

I've been on an IPA kick lately. Had a really good one from Anderson Valley brewing co. Hop nottin'. Delicious beer. Also had a good people snakehandler double IPA that was pretty tasty

Just had a Founders Double Trouble IPA. Good stuff, and hides the high ABV well.

I visited this brewery about two years ago. I you like Racer 5, you should have it there. This Racer X sounds really, really good.

I had a couple at the BR pub when I was in Healdsburg. It was a solid beer.

Speaking of hoppy beers, this came up on Reddit today. Anyone have any details?
