Just letting you know how they're perceived. Their success this season is more a function of the passing game. You can pump PT and Ivory up all you want. With the starting job on a more balanced team (or, simply not benefiting from a QB that just put up the most productive season in league history), neither would be anything to write home about.

I don't know why any non-Saints fans post in Saint-related threads because it's an uphill battle none of us ever have a chance of overcoming.

I couldnt care less how they are perceived,as long as they still contribute to us winning games I'm fine with that.

I am scurd. I picked us to lose in the prediction thread.

You guys could just use some more Seattle-esque humility. Louisiana going 0-2 this week would do wonders for those of us living down here.

Saints fans can't post in this thread, yet you're a 9er homer giving an opinion of the game. okkkkk

you can perceive the Saints' trio as average and say they wouldn't be good on another team. Cool. That doesn't matter considering they play for the Saints.

Gore may be better than them individually, but the Saints use all of them effectively. Which is why our run game is better.

The 9ers had an historically great run D until Willis went out, then they let up a little. They still finished first in the NFL in yards per rush given up, total yards, and total rushing TDs given up.

They also played one of the weakest schedules in the league against running teams. Their defensive statistics are padded by playing fricking terrible run teams.

We'll see how they play against the most prolific offense in NFL history.

I always find it funny when people put up predictions. For getting the shite kicked out of us you have us scoring nothing but Td's. They have a terrible red zone offense but again they'll score nothing but Td's.

FTR my prediction is 20-16.

Perhaps.

I have, however, followed football since before 2006, which gives me a leg up on quite a few here.

When the Saints maul a team it's by 40 points. When the 49ers maul a team it's by 7. Alex Smith will never win a Superbowl. Harbaugh better find a decent QB.

and Gore is by far superior to each of them.

Gore's last 8 games this year:

123 attempts 429 yards 3.49 YPC 3 TDs

Pierre Thomas & Chris Ivory last 8 games:

117 attempts 607 yards 5.18 YPC 4 TDS

Who would you rather again?

Gore slowed down big time. Hopefully the off time refreshed him, but he looked mighty bad the last half of the season.

I love hoe people think that because a team passes a lot, they are soft

SF may win, but you are inhaling too much varnish if you think they Saints will score only 10 points

Gonna need 24 to beat the Saints,
