Do you live in your favorite state in the U.S? If not what is stopping you from living there?

Yes. I’ve been to every state (except Oregon). Louisiana is my favorite place.

If I move, it will be to Montana.

Yes. Love FL.

Thought about other states I’d live but nothing came up. Love out west like Wyoming and Montana but I don’t think I could handle a winter. Shoveling a driveway everyday sounds miserable.

Maybe NC mountains. If CA wasn’t batshit insane politically I could def live somewhere in that state.

Yes. Louisiana is home and is a beautiful state. I know it doesn’t fit with the “I hate Louisiana” crowd, but I love this state.

No.

I have learned that making good friends later in middle age is much tougher. I have them, but they don't compare to my childhood friends. I fear making a cross country change being single and being removed from family and friends entirely.

Yes Washington is my favorite because of the weather and natural beauty. But the politicians and it's politics make it harder every year.

I've lived in Alabama, South Carolina, Ohio(3x), Virginia, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and North Dakota. We also currently own property in Washington and Pennsylvania.

We live in Alabama, and I really do enjoy it more than anywhere else we've lived. Especially while raising our kids.

PA has better weather, great food, and is wonderful as well. But I cant deal with a lot of their laws. Especially with what they are doing to small farmers and with their gun laws. A family member works for their state EPA and they actually get joy from shutting down family farms.
Not the family member, but her coworkers.

Washington has similar issues as PA, but its so nice to still have my grandparents house so we can fly out and visit a few weeks a year. Its truly beautiful out there.

I would love to live in Summerville, SC again at some point, if it werent for the fricking TRAFFIC

Last, but certainly not least. frick OHIO.

No. I’m only here for the money and to be closer to family. I’ll be leaving as soon as I can.

I love it here in the Florida panhandle. People, roads, low taxes, affordability, weather, beaches. That said, I could probably be happy living in the Midwest fly over country. I like small towns, laid back people, quiet neighbors, conservatives, farm country.

I’ve lived in Louisiana my entire life except for a short time in Texas. I love it here. We’ve travelled to most of the country during my life and my favorite place I’ve ever been was Northern Arizona (Flagstaff area). I think because the climate was nice and it seems to be one of the few places that doesn’t have extreme weather (hurricanes, tornadoes, etc.) Loved Montana and Wyoming also but not sure if I could handle a winter there. Reason I’m still here besides work is there is no way I could get my wife to move away since the kids would still be here.

The more I explore Utah, the easier it gets to say YES to your question.

I live in Alabama because I was born here. It’s fine, but I don’t think I would move here if I had been raised somewhere else.

I used to live in my favorite state of MO. Unfortunately, for my line of work you need to move for the best opportunities.

Would love to move to the St. Francois mountains when life slows down.
