A co worker and I got on the subject of fighting animals straight up with no weapons and he deeply believes he could kill an adult male Timber Wolf with no weapons if allowed a head start of having the Wolf in a rear naked choke before the fight started. lol

What are your thoughts?

Easily….just don’t let go!

ETA: I have spent a considerable amount of time dealing with livestock.

Those things are pretty big, and very strong, and very wild. I seriously doubt it.

Sure, that's all there is to it.

A trained human who understands how to use their body weight properly will always have a punchers chance against a much lighter animal. Even in a win, I predict a lengthy hospital stay, but where there is a will, there is a way.

Startlingly big.

Pop culture representations of wolves really under sell just how big those frickers are.

If you had his back and double leg hooks in, you just have to keep his teeth away from your jugular. You’re going to the hospital after, but I think it could be done more often than not.

He believes he can hold onto that wild fricker just long enough for it to lose consciousness due to lack of air. He believes if he can hold him for 45-60 seconds then he’s got it whipped.

They don’t have opposable thumbs, the same dexterity in their limbs as we do, and a human fighting for their life pumped full of adrenaline is strong as frick too.

It’s a lot like holding a wolf by the ears.

You don’t like it, but you don’t dare let go.

No. But I could prolly kill an adult timber rattler if I had a choke hold and a knife.

If you get to start with him in a rear naked chokehold, the question is are you willing to bite his jugular?

You only are going to get one chance.

Rear naked start on a ~100 lb animal? Pretty easily actually. If I can use my weight and transition to holding the rear legs the fight is over. If you can grab a dogs back legs all you have to do is start spinning in a circle while moving to the nearest vertical solid object. Centrifugal force keeps their head away from you, makes them extremely dizzy, and you then smack their head on a pole, corner of a house, car tire, etc repeatedly while spinning until they're done.

Why are you naked with the wolf?
