What's the plan for health insurance for the next 10 years?
Possible? Sure. Need a lot of luck and nothing bad to happen? Also yes.

You can live on $50k and your setup without any major disruptions like illness
or a hurricane... If you are not going to use your 401k/IRA you will need to have a 10% return on your other assets which is not usually possible without a bit of risk. Health insurance maybe your wild card.
You may need to work for a few more years to move to the next phase of your life.

Well you are single and that isn’t enough money to pick up hot chicks.

Possible? Maybe, but unlikely. Unless you want to move abroad.

I live in N Arkansas. I dont travel. My vacas are spent on the Buffalo or creek somewhere. I dont need much. My monthlys, utiities and house/car insurance is 700 month.
Health isurance will be an issue. Will have alot of time on my hands to figue out a way to make a little change. May want to work winters. IDK
But I am tired of setting at a desk all day everyday watching my life fly by. 25yrs on currret job. Divorced 15 ys ago. The next 10 yrs will probably be the best 10 left as far as being able to do anything. Its hitting me hard lately. Burned out,
No reason to rob IRAs or 401k.

you can safely turn that $750K into well over a million within 5 years. Just invest in an index.

With that low income he could get a cheap/free obamacare plan, right?

The plan was to work 5 more yrs and hang it up at 59. Not sure I can make it that long.

I wouldn’t want to retire having to stress over money. Maybe find another job less stress for the next few years while that 750k grows some more. 50k might be enough now but will it be in 10yrs/15yrs?

If you invest in an index and get just a 10% return, you are well over $1M in 5 years.
I would say it is possible, but not likely. I don't see any room to account for inflation, other than you will start drawing SS at some point. I don't see much budget for new cars, healthcare expenses, new roof on the house, etc.
The problem is not whether you can live on the income generated by $750K, but whether you can live on it for potentially 40 years. You may be able to afford groceries today, but can you afford them in 25 years at 2050 prices?

I think this is OPs ticket
Find something part time that offers health insurance…drive a school bus or something similar maybe…USPS delivery
I think you do it if your HI costs are off set.
Your cost of living is next to nothing

Is this a mental problem or physical?

Why would I quit this job to be tied down to another? I want to be free. At least April thu October. IDK what to do. May take a health scare for me to say F it and go live for a few years. Could try it for a year and see how it goes. Can always come back to current job.
My greatest fear is dying young and not enjoying a few years of freedom.
Ive had a job since I was 16 pretty much.

Yes you can retire now and live comfy. But i would find a side job to keep
busy. And yea your health insurance will only go up now. Just change jobs is what i would do.to a less strenous job

With your home paid for you can do it. You need the right type of income.
You can make $60K per year and pay zero tax. $120K if you are married.
Details in the link.
