So many free bases given this season. Pretty crazy.

Well the pitchers cant seem to have control and the catchers never seem to put their body in front of the balls in the dirt. Always trying to glove it.

In all seriousness, that last wild pitch was a poor effort by Arrambide. He should have tried to block it versus scooping it.

Todd Walker was asked this and he saiid Yeskie calls too many sliders. We need to pitch high fastballs and dare them to hit it. Most of LSU's wp are sliders. It is a pitch selection problem.

I’d like to know the total number - between wild pitches, passed balls, walks, and errors. Just how many? I’ve never seen LSU play like this.

Since most of the wild pitches are actually past balls that pretty much fixes it right there.

Our catchers suck arse, pictures aren’t that bad.

Or the pitchers aren’t as good. Yeskie way more knowledgeable about pitching than Todd

Does he though? Does he?
Or is he more of an MLB pitching coach where players already have command of 3, 4, or 5 pitches and you can call whatever you want?

How has the development of pitchers really been in the last couple of years?
Anyone on this year's team better than last year?

Does he get credit for Skenes, Hurd, Eyanson that transfers in?
Does he get credit for #1 overall pick talent Anderson?
If so, great... if you have 1st round talent, he's your guy.

What if you have an average college staff?
Does he really know how to help those guys?
Because it seems like it has been a challenge lately.

The staff is responsible for everything that happens on the field. Jay is responsible for everything that happens with the staff. That's how this works in every sport.

Very good. Anderson made a HUGE jump from year 1 to year 2. Eyanson improved in short order as well under Yeskie He's the most proven pitching coach in college baseball.

There are more guys to reference with positive development under Yeskie than the other way around.

One of the biggest developments has been Grant Fontenot.

The only way you fix the wild pitches that I am seeing is you put in a catcher who understands that you can't pick every damn pitch that hits the dirt. Block the damn ball up, no one advances, and no wild pitch. Our catchers really do suck at blocking.

He definitely needs to go to 'catching school' in the off season. His mechanics are as bad or worse than some of our pitchers.

They need to be forced to watch Alex Milazzo reruns until they can't take the shame anymore and get their asses in gear.

Yes. Nate Yeskie knows more about pitching than Todd Walker.

Is the coach who never coached in the MLB and has been considered the best college pitching coach in America, and has been a college pitching coach for 20 years, more of "an MLB pitching coach"? No. No he is not.

Luke Holman and Gage Jump turned into stars. Chase Shores went from having no K pitch to putting people away with 102 at the eyes. Anderson went from being a midweek guy to the best pitcher in America in one off season. Schmidt couldn't throw a strike and now he's our best pitcher. Anthony Eyanson went from being a solid mid-major to pitcher to one of the best pitchers in America.

This doesn't account for the countless freshman in the program who improved drastically from fall to spring.

Yes.

LSU doesn't have average college staffs. If guys don't have it, they don't have it.

We've had 4 of the best pitchers in the conference during his time here, and this year we've had none. So in 2/3 of his time here, we've had a top 5 Fri/Sat duo in America.

Does the guy who has been to Omaha as the pitching coach for 4 different programs and winning natties at 2 of them and numerous All American pitchers under his belt have pitching knowledge?

Do you people listen to yourselves
