It's just one of those seasons...or is it?

Look at the schedule...
This started with Northeastern and ULL, carried over into Sac State and put us in a 1-4 hole heading into our first SEC series, on the road in Vandy.
However, let's look at the games...
1st Series: Game 1 Loss 12-13 (Vandy needed 3 Runs in Bottom 9th to pull it out)
2nd Series: Game 2 Loss 3-4 (Oklahoma needed 3 runs in the 8th)
3rd Series: Beat Kentucky
4th Series: Go to Tennessee and Win, things started to feel better
5th Series: Go to Ole Miss, they scored 3 in the 8th to take the win in Game 1, Game 3 was almost one of the greatest comebacks I have watched since UC Irvine but we lose and get swept, ouch.
6th Series: Texas A&M flat out beat us. We didn't give up, we just could not hit the baseball. It looked like a golf ball coming across the plate.
We are a couple innings away from 3 more wins in SEC.
It is silly to analyze like this but at this point we need to win all the mid week games left, 3 more wins if so...plus go into State and catch them sleeping on us as they look ahead to their final 3 series (at #4 Texas, #9 Auburn, at #7 Texas A&M). They can easily look past us thinking we are a sinking ship. Meanwhile, we treat each series like Omaha and our backs against the wall...
Imagine we go 4-0 this week, come home to CPM returning to Alex Box (Edit for clarity: I am being sarcastic and South Carolina is struggling much harder than we are), take out USC 3-0, take out Tulane....
8-0 brings us to 31-18 (12-12) but it also reminds the SEC that we aren't finished.
Now we head to UGA knowing what is at stake...that weekend now becomes our season. We dont need 3 wins, just 2. Take that series and we are now 33-19 (14-13) and heading home to face Florida, who could be 15-12 or 16-11 by then, or better if they shock the Aggies.
We win 2 at Home against Florida, we finish 35-19 (16-14)
This isn't insane especially seeing the schedules and now we aren't going into State as the top seed in the SEC.

It just feels like this team/season has been in a weird fog since that McNeese loss. Also I never want to fricking play Sacramento State again. I'm pretty sure we lost to their crappy arse team at the Box under Mainieri too.

Yea have seen where Jake Brown and Cooper Moore are out for the season and half the team is playing like shite, right?
I might have to assume no considering you mentioned CPM returning to the box… he has been fired already.

I've been saying all season that we are bad... but so damn close to being good.
A few innings here and there of bad baseball make the difference in being top half of the SEC, To 3rd to last.
Tx a&m completely dismantled LSU this weekend.
Now with Brown out. It looks very bleak.

I was being sarcastic cause that team is terrible and we should go 3-0 against them at home.

Yes, I knew about that. Sorry, I thought it came across sarcastically. My bad.

You can only scream and whine. Only melts are allowed to you cannot state anything positive or the negas will slither out.

Someone has to be on the other side of this feeling....
I mean, fans are giving up? What is realistic to you? 0-12? Or do we look at this like the team is and breaking it down in a way that makes the final four series something we can do.
Also, Brown and Moore being out sucks but that isn't the team. We have many guys who should be hitting the ball that have struggled recently.

Very doable

Unlikely they do this, but we could win one or maybe 2 there. I expect to win one.

I would not count on that.

That is definitely not happening, since SoCar fired him.

Maybe

The goal at Georgia is not to get swept.

that is a realistic goal.

If LSU makes gets hot and makes it into the tournament, they will have a puncher's chance to make a run. And the fan base will be behind them again.
But the current frustration is understandable. I'm only teasing a little because minimizing losses doesn't change them.
It might actually feel more understandable if every game was played clean and we lost the same games something like 3-2. In that case, you'd just hope the bats get hot. For this team, though, it seems a little more like one wheel (not always the same one) is falling off at some point during the losses. If it's not giving up a 3 run 8th inning in one game, it's committing fielding errors in another. Every good team drops a few games (that's baseball), but this team-- instead of finding ways to win-- is finding ways to lose.
Like you, I do hope they tighten up. If I'm not mistaken, when Ole Miss won it all recently, they barely made the tournament. So, there is hope... like I said, they'll always have a puncher's chance as long as they're in.

LSU isn’t sweeping anyone. Since Paul’s departure, they have played much better.
