Musk has previously described a future where “all jobs will be optional” and suggested that money itself could lose significance as advanced technology creates post-scarcity economic conditions.

Hoping someone can help explain where the money for the income comes from for this? Also if unemployment exists because of AI but there is also a decrease in the cost of goods and services does that mean we enter a deflationary timeframe? How do we protect purchasing power?

This is exactly Musk's point. He says that in order to avoid hyper deflation you end up having to hand money out. It will become a real concern.
