This is beyond idiotic. This is a real example of liberal sports media. It is a statue of Texas Ranger.

The Texas Rangers installed a deeply controversial statue in their ballpark concourse this spring. And they aren't willing to provide answers as to why it's there

Liberals will always find something.
Apparently this guy (Jay Banks) was famous for being pro segregation and not allowing black people to attend college etc.
His statue was removed in 2020 from Dallas Love Field. ETA: Apparently it's the same statue

Uh...no. If something happened a couple months ago and I am just now hearing about it, it is indeed NOT deeply controversial.

Well, plus, they provided this reason, if the reporter wanted to be honest about them refusing to say why it’s there
quote:
“To have this iconic statue and base reunited and displayed with its namesake baseball team, is an honor for all current, retired, and deceased Texas Rangers,” said Russell S. Molina, Chairman of Texas Ranger Bicentennial 2023 and board member of Texas Ranger Association Foundation. “Today, with more than 189 women and men serving across our vast 254 counties, the modern Texas Rangers reflect the diversity, integrity, and professionalism you would hope to find in one of the country’s oldest and finest law enforcement organizations.” “The Texas Rangers have long occupied a revered place in Texas history dating to the creation of the organization over 200 years ago, before the days of the Republic of Texas. While the "One Riot, One Ranger" statue commemorates the legend surrounding the agency's involvement in the stoppage of an unsanctioned Dallas prize fight in 1896, it also stands as a tribute to all who have served the organization over its storied history. While the team’s name was originally inspired by the law enforcement agency, the Texas Rangers Baseball Club has forged its own, independent identity since our founding in 1971. The club is proud to recognize the origins of our name and to honor the contributions of public safety professionals across Texas and beyond. The statue that stood for decades in Dallas will greet guests at Globe Life Field as a familiar symbol of our team’s origin, enduring spirit and connection to the community.”

It is a statue of Texas Ranger.
In the eyes of a Ranger,
The unsuspecting stranger
Had better know the truth of wrong from right.
Cause the eyes of the Ranger are upon you.
Any wrong you do they're gonna see.
When you're in Texas look behind you,
For that's where the Ranger's gonna be.

The only people to genuinely care about this aren't Rangers' fans and aren't likely to attend a game anyway. Thus, leaving it up doesn't hurt the business, nor does taking it down' hurt the business. It's just attention seeking for the faux outrage industry

Option 1: Ray Davis just tells them to screw off
Option 2 "Look you crybabies, I was going to honor the rangers with a statue in the building anyway, and it just so happens you guys had a perfectly good one removed during your meltdowns in 2020, so what, we should let that sit in storage and I get to commission a new one that does the same exact thing? Please, for everyone's sake, grow up"

I’m guessing that statue wasn’t owned by the city of Dallas? I don’t think Beauregard, Davis, Lee, and Liberty Place will ever see the light of day again anywhere, and it’s not because other groups don’t want them, it’s because it would be a political loss for the city of New Orleans and the DNC to let them do so no matter how much they contribute to the city’s coffers to sell them
