We sign two of the most highly touted catchers we’ve ever signed and they can’t catch the ball. Couldn’t make it up if you tried

The announcer had it right. They spend way too much time framing and not catching the ball. They frame aggressively which actually makes the umpire ignore the framing. Almost every game.

So true, and they frame pitches that do not need to be framed

Yamin must have kicked Jay's dog. No excuse he's not behind the plate.

I've been wondering why he hasn't gotten any time, even during midweek.

the few times he has hit, or caught he has done pretty well.

I’ve definitely seen it but not at this level. Not both catchers. I thought Arrambide would continue to progress over the offseason. He improved over last season.

If I were an ump I'd call close ones opposite to the 'framing"

Jay won't sit Bide or Serna.

He doesn't want to lose one to the portal.

Does it really matter if they're costing you losses.

We’re really missing Brady Neal right now

Defense is an afterthought in baseball now. They figure a few extra errors are worth a few more bombs. It’s ugly baseball.

Neal was worse than both of them and just this year he learned how to hit. He is the worst catcher I’ve ever watched in my life. Both Bide and Serna aren’t good yet but Neal was HORRIBLE
