Have some decorum. You’re a police department

I'm on the fence on this.

I agree with the overall sentiment that they should be above this.

But I also agree with the public shaming of stupid people.

Most communication has become puerile, informal, and coarse since the advent of social media. People speak and write in childish memes and tropes.

These days, police and sheriff’s departments are in a fight to see whose social media team is coolest.

They don't want these clowns in their town, pass ordinances to discourage them, and shame them when they knowingly break the law.

I used to think it was stupid that the drinking age was 21 but now that I’m of age I don’t care

Ideally the age to purchase anything would be my age - 1 and I could make extra money buying beer for people slightly younger than me

It that a real post for the actual department?

I feel like I have seen that exact same picture a half a dozen times all related to a different school.

If it is, I cry foul. It would be the equivalent of posting in ebonics in relation to a house that was occupied by HBCU students. Is it a crime? No, but it is in poor taste.

This

Everyone laughs and slaps their knees when you make fun of white people, but the minute you make a light hearted joke about blacks it is immediately racist/cancelled/shamed

Eh, I don’t have any problem publicly shaming people like this. I find it especially funny in this case because the Lafayette people are going to have a hissy fit over it due to the massive chip on their shoulder

I mean, you have to give the writer credit for this sentence, at least.

Are you mad b/c the Law posted something or b/c Lafayette people did something bad?

I think he is mad because a non-Cajun entity is using Cajun phrases to mock Cajun people.

It’s trashy and unnecessary. Why would I give a frick about Lafayette?
