Answer remains to be scrapping dual citizenship.
At 18 they need to commit to US Citizenship and US residency.
We should also ban anyone who is here illegally and has a kid here while illegal from EVER getting US immigration/Visa/Citizenship.

You could make an argument that this proves the value of Birthright Citizenship because this policy begets healthy informed Citizens who are very active and eager to pursue their US Constitutional Right to participate as a US Citizen in the domestic political activities of our Country, which was founded due to a violent armed revolution against the British Crown.
I would argue that these IED folks are more "American" than you or I.
