What are your top 3 go to workout tunes?

(By Frequency played)
1. Twisted Tales - Jane’s Addiction for the slow burn aerobics (hiking specific trail with strenuous slope)
2. El Phantasmo and Chicken Run Blast Orama - White Zombie (Leg day)
3. Enjoy the Silence - Depeche Mode (perfect for stationary bike or treadmill time). Not usually DM fan but this one just works.
Can / will change in next few months but so far so good in 2026!
Working out without music would be like tennis racquet without tennis balls for me.

I go heavy like Lamb of God, Pantera, Gojira but I’ve always been into that type music and really gets me going when I workout

Amon Amarth-Put your back into the Oar. Illegal not to play this on back day.

3 songs?
That's gonna be tough, 3 songs gets me about 25% of the way through warming up my old arse knees. In no particular order, these always get played a lot.
1. Rollins Band - On My Way to the Cage
2. Andrew W.K. - Fun Night
3. Pantera - I'm Broken

It changes a lot but my most consistent over the years probably:
1. Creed-What If
2. Mudvayne-Happy?
3. Korn-Freak on a Leash
I’ve gotten to where I only listen to “pump up” music on leg days though. It’s mostly guilty pleasure songs like Gin Blossoms or Joe Rogan

Disturbed - Indestructible
Beastie Boys - Sabotage
Linkin Park - Feint
NIN - The Hand that Feeds
Offspring
Motley Crue
Velvet Revolver
I look around at the kids in the gym and imagine they’d think I’m crazy if they could hear what I’m listening to.

I'll go with my workout specific tunes:
Running
Boy With a Coin - Iron & Wine: Just perfect song to set your tempo

Strangest Thing - War on Drugs: Just a long, easy going song that slowly builds, perfect for those long grinding metcons where you are trying to pace and control heartrate
Heavy Lifting
Comfortable Liar - Chevelle: Just a good song with some heavy beats to time your heavy lifts to

Ask ChatGPT to customize you a mix for the activity, and link what your current playlists are in Spotify. It created four playlists with the proper pacing and song progression based on the workout (upper speed, lower heavy, upper heavy, lower speed, etc.)
