I remember this campaign a ways back... thought it was an ad for a clothing brand or something rather than a canadian government advertisement.
Yes... "The Canadian fashion retailer Simons (La Maison Simons) ran a controversial ad campaign in late 2022 titled "All is Beauty" that focused on the beauty in the death of a terminally ill woman who chose Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID)."

I have a hard time judging someone for this. When Ernest Hemingway realized he would need assistance wiping himself he said "No, I won't". I think that was his call to make. According to legend he actually opened a window and tried to blow his brains out the window to minimize the cleanup.

I don't. I don't understand why most conservatives are against medically assisted suicide. There are far more looney lefties that woiuld utilize these services. Let them thin the herd.
I get that Christians think it is wrong, but if suicide is against God's wishes and is unforgivable, yet someone goes forward with it, they probably weren't going to spend eternity with God anyway. Jesus didn't try to change the laws of Rome that didn't coincide with God's Word. He didn't go into the temple of Venus or Aphrodite and start smashing stuff.

I see the appeal to euthanasia, especially after watching grandparents suffer through terrible end of life situations, so don't hate Canada for legalizing it. What rubs me very wrongly about Canada is that it is state controlled healthcare, and the state is pushing people to it because it is cheaper than treating conditions. What should be an extreme last resort is the front line "treatment" to save an overburdened system. That's gross.

You don't have the capacity to understand the difference between people killing themselves and the government advertising to people to kill themselves?
