This episode is a "deep dive" into Kent’s decision to step down as the Director of the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC).
The Catalyst: Kent resigned in protest of President Trump's decision to initiate a war with Iran. He argued that Iran did not pose an "imminent threat" to the U.S. and that the conflict was being driven by foreign influence rather than "America First" principles.
The "Deep State" & Lobbying: He sounds the alarm on the influence of the Israeli lobby and internal administration tensions, suggesting that some advisors are pushing for "regime change" wars that contradict the original isolationist platform.
The Message to Trump: Kent uses the platform to break down why he walked away and to warn the public about the rapidly escalating costs of this new Middle East conflict.

9-11 and October 7 pretty much spells it out. They are psychopathic, religious fanatics who mean what they say re “we love death “. The only difference now is that they will not attack via Iranian State based proxies but will likely form some form of loose knit, underground insurgent coalition to procure WMD for a coordinated attack on America soft targets and infrastructure. I doubt that we are even half as efficient re out intell as is Israel. And Israel won’t trust us as we are rife with moles, misguided fools like Kent and outright operatives strewn throughout our ‘deep state’ apparatus.
“When they say peace, peace, sudden destruction cometh”. I hope not but if I were those guys I know what I’d be planning for ultimate payback and an Islamist “12th Inman” win. And it wouldn’t be an arms race.

A nuclear Iran would fully enable action based on that hate. It would translate to a shutdown Hormuz at will. Pay the toll or pay the price. That plan is being illustrated real time in the present conflict and negotiations. A nuclear, or even a militarily confident Iran would translate to carte blanche control of the straits.
Given nukes, Iran, not Saudi, would control OPEC. Iran would eventually take the entire ME. Because the consequence of Saudi, Qatar, UAE being nuked would have EU cowards excusing anything Iran did. Afterall, they're the same nitwits who kowtowed to Putin over oil and gas pre-2021, and laughed at DJT when he called their Putin dependency out. Iran would be no different.
That is the world Joe Kent and others either did not see coming, did not care, or are actual advocates for.

There will come a point where you realize the deep state is now aligned with Trump with regard to foreign policy and you’ll have to reconcile how Shawn Ryan opposing the war makes him “deep state” with you supporting it being anti deep state and at that point we can talk reasonably.

Wonder why Democrats don't resign from their positions when Dems are in power. I mean, they get fired for stealing women's luggage in airports and wearing those clothes and claiming it never happened.....but that's about it. Only Republicans desire to claim morals at the last minute and run to the press and then testify to Congress about how they stood up to OMB.
