Between the legacy media, social media and the OT Pearl clutchers carrying on about TSA, I decided to arrive at MSY at 0600 for a 0930 flight.

TSA line? Nope. Walked right through.

Enjoying my $14 egg sandwich and trying to figure out what to do with the other two and a half hours.

If you went at midnight there would be even less people.

Different day, different staffing levels. Been like that for a couple of weeks.

Same thing happened to me last week. 15 mins from car to gate and I sat there for three hours watching Netflix.

Exactly my point. My brain knew that Tues would be off peak and not an issue. But I was swayed by all the hype and here I sit.

I think it’s less peak vs off

And more is there an organized call out of half the scheduled staff that day

Though it seems they like busy days for that

Lady that scanned my ID wasn’t even a regular TSA worker in uniform. White lady in her 60’s who is obviously an office worker. Just goes to show you that it doesn’t take much to sit there and put an ID in a machine and wait for it to say Go or No Go.

Same with the other station working Pre Check.

There was an ID rejected at the next station. Dumbass didn’t have the Real ID and that got an actual uniformed TSA agent to come over and handle it.

Point being, they could have anyone (or self service machines for that matter, doing the ID thing with one agent to handle rejections.

ICE agents all over the place but not a one helping TSA. Mostly just standing around in groups of three and four bullshitting.

Do they have club lounges at MSY or is it too small?

I’d just get drunk

They were there yesterday evening but they certainly weren’t working.
Just riding the government’s clock.

it’s the last leverage point Democrats have to protect the results of their open-border policies during the prior administration. The media is more than happy to assist with outrage.

So the Tuesday 6AM lines are smaller than the Spring Break weekend lines? OK. Thanks.

It’s almost like different days and times have different issues.

It’s almost like Sunday has a lot of family travelers and Monday has a lot of business travelers

Do you think the videos are fake?

Go get a Bloody Mary.

Well I’m glad to hear it. But it’s not media hype it is actually happening. Someone I knew was there yesterday and was in line for almost 3 hours.

People in ATL are missing flights getting there 5 hours early
