What are the odds Mansoor Delane even makes it to us at #8?

I think this is an easy decision by Loomis if he makes it to us. He immediately is your #1 corner and replacement for Lattimore. Corners are must have and the very few that can play on an island all game and play well. Hopefully we can snap Chris Bell later and get some help for our young QB.

I think the probability is very high with the way the board is stacked. He's a good player, but not one of those guys I would really want at 8 like Styles or Downs though.

Odds are that there is going to be a really good player available at 8.
Mendoza takes a spot, so 6 players will be taken. Hopefully some offensive lineman will be taken too

Give me Delane over Downs any day of the week. Downs is a good safety but I like our young guys there with Reid leading them. Delane is the shutdown corner all playoff teams need to have to lock up with the opposing team’s WR1.

most of the time the Saints will either go for an offensive lineman or a front 7 player on defense. more so on the defensive line.

I'm not saying we don't need more help at corner but I think they would be better off taking a pass. rusher.

they really need to get another defensive interior player in this draft as well. You could probably go ahead and do that in a second or third round though, or use one of the fourth round picks as well.

Can't wait to see what he runs at the LSU pro day. If he can run under 4.5 he'd be a no-brainer for the Saints. CB is one of the positions 40 time historic correlates with success. Anything higher than 4.5 and he's not a top 10 pick.

Cool but that isn’t the Saints defensive scheme and having a guy like that in a defense like this creates giant holes in the scheme the Saints play.

I would love if he gets drafted before us and makes another top level talent fall to 8.

Are you under the assumption he won’t be there at 8?

Downs sure as shite is more a willing tackler than Taylor was. I hope the Saints get a pass rusher but if they took Downs I wouldn't be mad at all. Downs is a coach on the field type of player. I think that's who they want but have no proof and most likely I'm wrong

as of right now, 100%... shite we could trade down to at least 10, and he'd still be there...

now, if he runs a sub 4.3 forty, that could change, but still very high probability he's there at 8 if we want him

i think the pick is either Downs or Delane, personally...

I will do a ban bet that it isn’t Delane. He’s a great player, but he is not the player that fits this scheme.

The 2 best players that fit what the saints do are Reese and Downs.

Enough with the god damn LSU players. It's funny that you think he'll be picked before us. If we traded back some picks, sure, but not at 8

I think the Cowboys move up ahead of us and take him or one of the stub LBs. Though it would make more sense to for them to get a LB. They have a second pick where they can get the 2nd or 3rd CB
