I guess some people wanted to reenact the event with live ammunition this year.

quote:

Selma police are investigating two separate shootings that left a total of eight people injured this weekend.

Six people were shot around 1:25 a.m. Saturday in the 1200 block of Alabama Avenue, near the area where the Bridge Crossing Jubilee is being commemorated this weekend, according to WAKA.

Police told the outlet a fight broke out between a group of people and shots were fired.

Around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, during the Jubilee Festival, two more people were shot after a fight broke out near the vendor and performer area, the outlet reports.

MLK would be so proud.

Never forget Biden saying that "White supremacy is the single most dangerous threat in our homeland".

Selma is far worse than those places. The place is poisoned with racial animosity mostly flowing from a particular demographic. One of the worst places in Alabama.

I love small towns in Alabama, but Selma is definitely not a shining star of the state.
Even blacks should be ashamed of the city, considering its historical significance.

Selma is as close to the third world as you can get in Alabama. It makes Ensley look like paradise. Not sure if this has anything to do with it, but over 80% of the population is…

You mean trying to base your tourism on racial conflicts from over a half-century ago doesn't bring wealth and happiness? Who knew?

The place is economically barren with its only relevance today because of a civil rights movement. The productive citizens wisely fled 5 plus decades ago and the aftermath of the movement is another American example of a 3rd world shithole controlled by corrupt woke Dem leaders.

Tuskegee is worse, but Selma is making a strong move to overtake them.

When I read the thread, I was goong to respond and say “more white supremacist suppressing and intimidating the black community.”
