Seatbelt ticket

What’s the point of enforcing a seatbelt in a vehicle today when motorcycles are a thing.
I find it Incredibly ironic that I got a seatbelt ticket by a motorcycle cop, who was also not wearing a seatbelt.
I get why seatbelts are dangerous on a motorcycle. But if the point is to enforce me to protect myself by wearing a seatbelt, then how the frick are motorcycles legal on a roadway?
Not hating on motorcycles at all, hating on the fact that I got a ticket 1/10th mile from the gas station I pulled out of, going 5mph in traffic. Off hwy 30 near the interstate, by all the road work. frickers were sitting in the round about.
Lets get rid of inspection stickers while we’re at it.

I agree with you, but only in spirit. Half the laws on the books seem like they are there only to force you to protect yourself. But nobody can say no to a grieving activist parent so laws like seatbelt laws pass easily. We need more dicks in office.

Just be glad you got your ticket while actually not wearing a seatbelt.
I got pulled over in a pick up truck 20 years ago in AP. Cop over the loud speaker tells me get my license and registration. I take my seatbelt off to reach the glove box to find insurance snd registration. A few minutes later he walks up a tells me he pulled me over on a seat belt violation. I explained that I took it off to get my paperwork per his instructions. After a little back and forth, I asked him what made him think I wasn't wearing my seat belt in the first place. He mentioned he saw the clasp shining in the sunlight as I drove by. I looked back and pointed out to him the clasp was 6 in below the window and it was impossible for him to see that. He made up some other BS excuse while giving me a ticket.
20 years later I still hope that MF dies a slow painful death and rots in hell for eternity!

Officer might have saved your life by enforcing the law. You could have wrecked a minute further down the road when an Altima ran a light. Your day would be much worse.

It’s still a dumb law. If I die not wearing my seatbelt, that’s my fault. And I might be dumb, but I’m still in a safer spot than anyone driving a motorcycle on the road.

How do you not wear your seatbelt, that dinging noise when you don't buckle it drives me bat crap crazy.
