Better question is how would the descendants of the slaves be doing these days?

It should be mentioned, whether they were sold to American slaveowners or not, they still most certainly would have been slaves for someone. My understanding is the Arabs weren’t the friendliest of slaveowners. Neither were their African captors.

When the Europeans stopped taking slaves, the Africans kingdoms didnt know what to do with their slaves in their reserve as they didn’t have any use for thm. So they just sacrificed them all to their kings and gods.

Pretty much the same.

They would just find another excuse that didn’t affect them.

Plenty of white Europeans were slaves in the Roman Empire.
