that looks good - as long as people temper the beach scenes in comparison to Saving Private Ryan, this could be a damn good film. so glad to see Brendan back

I'll check this out.

I've always known Damian Lewis is as British as British can be, but it's still kind of weird seeing him in WW2 garb playing Montgomery, and not Dick Winters.

Looks good. Just wish Brendan Fraser had a bit less…well… Brendan Fraser in his voice.

I wonder if this will be a PG-13 or R-rated movie.

Let me guess: Another movie about fighting Nazis?

Exactly which group would you choose Ike to fight in a movie about WWII?

Why do we have 10,476 movies about the European theater and maybe 3 about the Pacific theater?

I am not complaining. I never tire of watching a quality WW2 film. I will go see this one at the theater, something I rarely do anymore.

—-Because the N African/ European theater was covered more by the media, it was easier to get to, and the perceived threat to the West was greater.

Good points.

I also wonder if it is because the Japanese who control Hollywood and make many of our movies don’t want to show Japan’s defeat over and over again.

This movie is about a dumb weather forecaster. The beach scenes in the trailer are likely the only scenes in the movie.

This is not a "war" movie, ya'll need to temper them expectations.

I like Brendan Fraser, just not sure I see him as Ike but I'll certainly watch it.

I wasn't sure Gary Oldman could pull off Churchill in Darkest Hour but he knocked it out of the park IMO.

I always enjoy a good WWII movie. Quick question is - this a very similar plot to the movie Tom Selleck was featured as Ike?

I wish Hollywood would do a good film on some other topics, like the Jedburghs in France, the Italian campaign, or the tense environment in Germany immediately after the Allies took over.

Getting the forecast right was essential to pulling off D-Day so I think its interesting part of the story to tell.

Looks good, as a poster said, people will instantly compare the beach scenes to Private Ryan which will draw comparisons, unjustified as there are plenty of stories to tell from that angle even with Private Ryan being a masterpiece

I wish we’d get more Pacific focused stories, can they do a Nimitz or Spruance focused film please?
