Meh … riders of Rex were skimpy on throws this year.
Kids were disappointed until the truck parades.
They had a blast after Rex.

Only complaint i ever had about truck parades is that no one really throws anything.
As the truck is passing, they might get 1-2 throws out

We had the exact same experience with our kids this mornig.
Rex throws one bead at a time. No one likes that.

I used to find that the truck parades were better than Mardi Gras parades. Especially better than Rex. They rode bc they wanted to throw and were not stingy. It’s been a while so maybe things changed.

Rex is always skimpy. At least they changed up their signature beads. They used to have the worst bread in carnival.
