It should be illegal to include the stem end in a bag of cut okra

We had fried okra as part of our dinner, and I used a bag of frozen cut okra, the unbreaded, plain kind. The number of stem ends in the bag was damn near offensive! Is that extra weight/cost really worth it?

When I become King......NO MORE stem ends in the okra!

I could support this……if your only job is cutting okra for a damn living, then you at least ought to be able to get it right!

As Afroman said you gotta pick out the seeds and stems.

Now you sound like Ms. Lawrence that ran the school cafeteria as she stood by the counter where you dropped off you plate once you finished trying to eat the swill they served.

My son had a damned good job cutting okra until they replaced him with a lower paid Afrikaner refugee from South Africa.

Agreed.

I love okra. Any kind. Pickled, fried, in a gumbo or stew.

I hate when I find a stem is disguised with batter and fried. Did they think we wouldn’t notice?

Well okra originated in Africa; they need to get off their arse and grow some more.

Dig the bag out of the trash and call the 1-800 number and let those motherfrickers know what's up.
