"What's a good phone number for you"?.... does this aggravate the OT?

They don't just ask for your phone number, they want a good number.
I, for one, am glad they clarify. Otherwise, I might accidentally provide an old phone number which is no longer good.

They're asking for a direct line to you, not a generic company or department line.

It's an older expression that was started when cell phones came out.
They mean give me your cell not your land line.
As landlines die, the phrase has stuck around.

I say this all the time because I deal with some phone changing Mofos

I've given out Morris Bart's phone number more times than I'd like to admit.

Eh, I don't think I say this much, although I hear it a lot.
But a lot of times you're dealing with a mobile, a main number, a direct line, etc. You're asking for the best one/one they want you to use.
And sometimes it varies. I try to set up calls by email ahead of time, so "tell me the best way to reach you and I'll call you then" is the functional equivalent. Response - "I'll be in the car so try my mobile first."

There's a thread on the first page of the OT complaining about women complaining.
And then there's this thread...

And then there's this thread...

Are you doing a Baby Tac impression?

Was checking out at a store the other day and the cashier asked me that. I just looked at him and told him I didn't have one. I was holding my phone in my hand at the time.
I'm just trying to make a purchase, we don't need to bring phone numbers or emails into this. Stop trying to harvest my data. Stop asking me a million questions at checkout. shite is beyond aggravating at this point. Can't even get a damn carwash anymore without dealing with some guy pushing a subscription.

I have given KLSUs phone number for the last 20 years.

I've used it so much I can actually use the fake number to track receipts

I always give out my ex-girlfriend’s number.
No, you degenerates can’t have it.
