Anybody watched this one? Just stumbled across it, 2 episodes in and I cant figure out of its good or not.

I didnt like it lost intrest. Limped across the finish line just to get it over with.
TD season 1 hinged on two amazing characters played by two amazing actors. Rust and Marty.
That has not even come close to being replicated.

Season 1 was directed by Cary Fukunaga and it showed
Season 2 they started that GoT bullshite where you give half a dozen directors a couple of episodes each to direct
Season 3 was Pizzolatto's last before he sold the IP to HBO, who promptly nuked it into woke lesbian bullshite

The only thing I remember about season 4 is I think it started out ok and then went to shite. That all could have been in the 1st episode..lol..I know I watched it.

Nothing happens. It just drags on and on and on. Every time it gets to a spot where you think it may be a great plot-twist/turning point...it doesn't happen...until you finally reach a ridiculous ending.

It's really really bad. The only reason to finish it is to see just how bad the ending is. It's almost unbelievable how bad it is.

To help your ranking of it go from a literal zero out of ten so merely a 1 out of 10, remember that this isn't a REAL true detective. It's a completely separate story all on its own that towards the end of the creative process someone said "hey, to get more viewers for this pile of shite...what if we slapped the TD label on it?" and everyone was like hey great idea!
This is not True Detective. It's amateur hour that used a cheap gimmick and inserted a couple hamfisted throwaway callback lines to try to tie it to the real thing.
