Was pretty obvious he was hurt. However I think we still would have lost a few games and are better off things working out the way it did. Without that injury we still have BK and Sloan at the helm for another year.

They tried to sit him in the 2 in state games but he insisted on playing. Both games he got the crap beat out of him.

anyone that couldn't see that Nussmeier was not himself AND on top of that the team offense was also a shite show is a fricking a-hole who previously hated Nussmeier who were just simply looking to prove themselves right about a retarded opinion from prior.

Nuss may not be perfect but he's going to be a great pick for a team that needs a QB to either backup someone or soon compete for a job.

Incredibly dumb that they couldn't disclose this during the season.

No disrespect to Nuss, but I am so ready to not hear about him anymore in the future. “Injured, not injured” blah blah blah it’s all so tiring.

I mean, I hope he is healing and he gets drafted.

But I find it odd that we have never been told: "Nussmeier pulled/tore his XXX which resulted in XXX." Maybe its out there, but I haven't seen anything conclusive.

It's always some vague amorphous reference to core usage and the resulting effect is just; "He wasn't himself throwing the ball".

As opposed to watching Darnold get treated for a "Pulled oblique" in between series on the sidelines with a full report on when, how it affected him etc.

What, specifically, did Nussmeier injure and when?

All this coming out to help his draft status. I get it.

He was making boneheaded plays last year too. Ya forget too easily.

Good luck to Nuss in the future. Obvious he was injured, also obvious coaches and NUSS should have had himself sit on the bench and try and heal the injury. Tired of hearing about it--season was crap--got a hard working coach now.

Bottom line should NOT have tried and played thru this type injury!

I'll probably get downvoted but whatever, I feel bad for Nuss and how this season went. He really became the whipping boy to alot of the fanbase and I don't think it was remotely fair to him.

The guy played hurt, that was as clear as day, and yet he still kept going out there and battling on an offense that was sputtering and struggling week after week. His offensive line was one of the worst I've ever seen assembled and he was playing for an OC that did as bad of a job as you could imagine.

Lots of folks hated him because he couldn't/wouldn't run but isn't it incumbent upon the highly compensated coaching staff to design an offense that highlights the strengths of the players they have? It's not like Nuss woke up one day and it was a surprise to everyone that he couldn't run.

Brad Davis and Joe Sloan were offensive football terrorists this year and Brian Kelly let it all happen. Awful O line, awful offensive strategy, awful coaching, injured, etc. Just sucks how it panned out.

This is such nonsense. He's just throwing this out there to try to save whatever draft stock he can

They only found out what the injury problem was a month ago? How does that even make any sense

You mean he went all the way from August to December without knowing what the problem was?

So how and when did he hurt it?

Putting all our eggs in the Nuss basket was the epitome of BK laziness. The fact that he’s still unemployed after all the coaching turnover speaks volumes.

It was still vague, but there were reports that he hurt/tore it in camp. They were talking about he may be out for the year during camp. Then they came back and said he’s going to play through it. Still vague and no exact xyz reason.

True. Nuss was injured. What was their excuse?
