Watch Question: Want an Outdoor Watch

Question for all you watch enthusiasts. I want a watch I can wear on vacation, beach, water that I don’t have to worry about and I can see at night. I had a Luminox years ago that I didn’t pay full price for and was extremely disappointed by a watch for “seals” that didn’t hold up to much abuse. I don’t mind spending a little money, but not too much.
Should I go with a tritium watch like Protek or Nite?
Both of these are around $500.
Should I got with a boutique brand?
Old fashioned Timex indiglo?
Again, if I had the money I’d just buy a Tudor Pelagos, but that’s more than I want to spend. Any suggestions?

that nite looks pretty cool. i feel like it'll give you great confidence knowing you can flash that wrist in front of any baw and be able to tell them what time it is without hesitation.

Easier to train than an indoor one.

I’m trying to unplug. I don’t want something that’s going to be buzzing on my wrist. I just want something that will last that I can read in the dark without having to worry about light and lume that doesn’t look cheap.

What you need is a marathon MSAR quartz.
I have an automatic one. 10 years of continuous abuse, one service at 10 years and still looks / functions fine. I never take it off. Still, I wish I had gotten a quartz because I keep magnetizing, and thus keep having to de-magnetize it.

Tracer P67 or a Citizen EcoDrive Promaster Dive. I think the Citizen is a better buy for under $400, the titanium version is still sub-$500.

Op - email me if you want a screamer deal on a collection of used watches ( some lightly used and one very used) that are a good fit.

G-Shock and call it a day. I've tried all of them. I own 2 Luminox right now and they are also good.
