QB, LT and Edge. Kiffin just signed the top portal player at each of those positions. Absolutely killed it.

Now we just have to jell the parts into a team, and coach to the strengths.

I’m optimistic.

The most important position is Head Coach.

We win that portal transfer as well.

...and cheerleader. and rumor is he nailed that one through the portal also
(That's not necessary, I have already shown myself out.)

I think there’s 4. QB, LT, DE, and CB. We need Pickett to take that next step and we’re golden.

Another offseason with Raymond should get Pickett right and ready for the cb1 role

We won several games on talent alone during the Les Miles era. Bill Belechik is one of the brightest football minds ever and he is dog shite at UNC. Jayden Daniels made Brian Kelly seem like a good coach. Your statement is simply untrue.

So much NFL WR talent in the SEC every year that not having minimum 1 lockdown corner won’t fly. Agree the other 3 are extremely important though.

It’s not just the top portal players. He signed some of the top players OVERALL in college football at these 3 spots.

Serious question. How do these 3 players compare to some of the best at their position in CFB over the last 5-10 years? Not necessarily from how they’ve played so far, but potential wise.

There are plenty of ways to neutralize a good edge rusher. A dominant DT is more important than an edge rusher.

I think there’s 4 too, qb #1, and then LT, DE, and WR in some order.

An elite WR makes a qb prolific. A cb1 can be thrown away from and avoided.

That’s cute. You just made my point. You need more than a great player to sustain success.

You make a post about a few games as if that determines how great a coach is. Saban lost many his first year at Bama.
Belechick is one of the greatest head coaches in NFL history. That doesn’t mean he will be a great college coach, especially at this point in his life.

A great player may help a coach when a few games but lasting success takes much more than one player or two.

Kiffin has been trending very well since he left Bama. He is the one that just assembled all of this talent. What active coach has shown he can gather transfers like Lane has? And soon, he will be building very good HS classes as well.

The most important position and most important transfer was the HC.
