I’d add Kyle Williams to that list.
LSU needs to consider if Key’s success isn’t too heavily influenced by the talent of Haynes King and we end up with a Curly Hallman - Brett Favre repeat. I’m not saying this is the case, just to look really deep into this decision.
The OC could do a lot to help his OL with better play calling. Where is the quick slant to Anderson/Parker? Where’s that middle screen to the WR we ran nicely against Clemson. Have we ever run a draw? Where is the chip block flare to the RB in the flat? Where are the running play drive blocks that are so much easier to execute for the OL?
Based on Curne’s performance on Saturday and having 2 weeks to get him ready, I’d like to see the following OL. If Charles is our next man in and with last year’s experience at C, maybe he could help Curne with his assignments during the game.

Adams
Echols
Moore
Charles
Curne

i mean they are allowed 3 yards,.

And, you’d think that if they could drive block for 3 yrds the RB could fall forward to get a 4th yard!

It doesn’t matter what your game plan is coming into the game. You have to adjust during the game based on what the defense is doing! I’m certain we have offensive plays already in the playbook that we use to attack a 3-rush, 8-drop zone defensive look. Attack that defense until you force them to change. Once the defense is showing you something totally unexpected, throw the game plan out the window! This is ridiculous!

This is easily fixed without changing QBs. Nuss just has to check into a running play where the OL has numbers over the defense!
My question is, pre-snap it looks relatively easy to see they are rushing 3 with only 1 LB in the box…why didn’t Nuss change the play to a run? Nuss needs at least 2 plays in mind when approaches the LOS, one of those plays has to be opposite of the play call to attack the fewest number of defenders.
I like it! And, to this playlist I would add Robert Jon & The Wreck!
Kaleb Jackson needs to run assigned holes with overwhelming blockers in front of him. He’s not good at zone reads. I think we could be more successful pulling lead blockers, using TEs and running a series of I formations. I think he’ll run with more confidence, more speed at the assigned gap and he’ll that much harder to tackle.

Too much experience in the upper class men transfers who came to LSU to win a NC to let this team come out flat. Add Whit’s and Gooden’s energy and attitude, this should be fun to watch!
We’re going to see a much more creative run game with the addition of Alex Atkinson. It’s not gonna be just zone read all the time. I expect the Tigers will attack specific holes with pulling linemen and run misdirection to hold the LBs. The 2 best ways to counter those 1st rd draft picks on the DL is run right at them and then counter off of them.
You have to remember that Ben was a true Fr that year and the best reliever in college baseball was Barry Manuel of LSU who walked the bases loaded ahead of the grand slam off of Ben. 3 of those runs are on Manuel!

No starter or long reliever can get through more than one trip through the opposing team’s lineup with 2 pitches. AR will kill him. He needs at least a 3rd reliable pitch, curve or slider. They are all sitting change up and killing him.
After rewatching the call I’m not so sure the umpire didn’t call the pitch a strike and it had nothing to do with Bear’s check swing. Watch the umpire’s reaction to the pitch. Crazy bad call, either way!
I don’t think Jay is saving them at all. But, it seems like he uses them when he has the lead or at least tied up. Had the score been 6-4 Tigers in the 4th or later, you would have seen Evans and Cowen.
