What crime do you think you can commit for just long enough to be rich but not arrested?

It seems like it's always the ones who keep going and keep getting bigger with their crime, what ever it is, eventually get arrested. But there were so many times they probably could have stopped and lived a normal comfortable rest of their life under the radar with enough money to do virtually whatever they want.

Many folks participate in tax fraud every year with little risk. Not advocating just stating.

This is just adding marginal wealth profits. I'm talking about making a few mill a year for a few years then just shut it down and walk away.

Apparently you can just start a landscaping/construction company. Hire a bunch of undocumented immigrants who have committed identity theft, pay them low wages, don’t insure them for worker’s compensation, and do really well for yourself. Then if the government catches you they blame the immigrants and not you as the employer.

I knew a guy years who had a good friend who got a pilots license flying float planes. Not long after getting licensed, the friend was approached by some people with a job offer.

“ Go to ______ Bayou and you will find a plane ready to fly. There will be a map in the plane (pre GPS) which will tell you where to go. Fly there, tie up the plane and take the waiting car into town and spend the night. Next evening fly back to _____ Bayou and tie up the plane ready. There will be another car waiting for you. The car, and everything in it are you're to keep.”
The guy did the job, flew somewhere in Mexico, came back and drove off. Inside the car was a briefcase with $2 million. The guy lived quietly and never worked again.
