Fraud Should Always Be Prosecuted - But Access to Childcare is Vital to the Economy

I have seen rhetoric condemning childcare as if that’s the problem (opposed to criminals who abuse the system).
Improving access to childcare through government subsidies has a profound impact on the economy. Many of the workers we rely on every day are able to participate in the workforce only because affordable childcare is available.
Expanded access to childcare has also fundamentally transformed women’s participation in the workforce. This both strengthens the overall economy and allows women to pursue meaningful, fulfilling careers.
My wife would not have been able to pursue her professional career without access to childcare, and many of the daycares we relied on when our children were infants and toddlers were small, neighborhood businesses supported by these subsidies.
Continue to prosecute fraud. But don’t fall victim to talking points condemning daycare unless you want a vastly different economy.

Is your thread really just saying “Don’t get rid of all daycares. Just the fake Somali ones!”?
Probably getting nailed by 12 coworkers.

But, if there are no children there, and it’s just a front to launder money, it’s not really a daycare.

The OP is proving that an individual with a formal education can still be retarded.

Why should tax dollars pay for your wife to get a carreer? She belongs in the kitchen, barefoot, taking care of the house chores and breastfeeding the kids until they are at least 4 years old.

The American taxpayers have supported childcare in a massive way.
Their trust has been violated through the fraud and abuse of these programs - bigly.
You want more money? Fine, but first show us you can manage it properly. Don’t ask for more money after squandering what you’ve already been provided. Sorry.

Now run off and make no effort to defend your post… as usual.

Or…you could do what I did and pay for it yourself.
Every post of yours is framed by your background as a federal government employee.
You are a tick, bleeding the country dry.

Women should be at home taking care of their own kids,

You couldn't be anymore the stereotypical big government leftist if you tried.

Total bullshite
The economy works best when families aren’t stuck in the dual income trap. In 1950, a man could work as a welder at the Ford factory, and support a family with 5 or 6 kids and mom at home. There was hardly even a concept of “childcare”, let alone government subsidized childcare
The economy doesn’t need all of these women in HR departments or making spreadsheets in cubicles endlessly. It needs strong families, properly inrtured children, and efficient business environments.

Mainly, because:
Public schools actually taught students instead of trying to turn them gay/Trans
And
Government had not fricked up healthcare with Medicare and Medicaid.
Two huge modern expenses that were pretty nonexistent at the time.

This is the BIGGEST lie in our public discussion right now. No one is starving, not working, or struggling because there is no access to CHILDCARE! its called parenting.

People on welfare and food stamps who aren’t working—such as the Somalis—have no need for daycare services.

Dear Lord. What is wrong with you?
There was no child care being provided. That’s what “fraud” means.
There are day cares in MN. Just not the ones stealing from the people.

Nobody has a problem with daycare. The problem is when govt. gets involved with it. When tax dollars start flowing to help those who can’t afford daycare you have a system ripe for fraud.

We need childcare. We must ask government to institute it, so we must allow them to collect and distribute money for it.
This is the solution if simpletons.
