I'll take a robot over a DEI doctor any day.

Yea, I’m a huge Elon fan, but his timeframes are usually pretty far off. I don’t see it happening in 5 years, 15 maybe.

Who will be the human in the decision tree? A high school graduate?

On a side note, I had a cardio workup for a fainting spell. After the lady did the echo cardio, I asked if they run the data through a computer for analysis. She said that would never happen.

I was okay.

If we’re ranking them, I’ll take the guy obsessed with duck hunting, the robot, then the DEI doc.

I have a full self driving car and it is fricking insane. With that said we already have robot-assisted surgery taking place today across the country. The da Vinci System from Intuitive Surgical is the leader in this right now as hospitals are buying entire fleets of this equipment. It doesn't take much to see that his prognosis for this isn't that far off.

And then medical doctors become a threatened constituency for the democrats to take care of. They should form a union.

We will not have fully autonomous, AI driven robotic surgery in 3 years. Not even close.

The people above discussing da Vinci systems (and they left out Mako) have no idea what those devices do. They aren’t even remotely close to performing even a portion of the case without input from the surgeon.

If you don't want to be on government subsidies, you need to ensure you are wealthy within five years. 98% of jobs will be handled by AI and robotics.

I do think AI tech is escalating but he 48 month timeline is insanely optimistic. Not just on the tech side but it will take YEARS for people to trust an AI surgeon.

How many in here are willing to jump in one of the driverless taxis? Not me. I'm sure younger folks who grow old with the tech will be more trusting but I'm old and set in my ways.

I think Elon would trust in his Optimus surgeon but I don't think the general public is even close to ready even when Optimus is 100% good to go.

He needs to be sneaky and get people used to dealing with AI Bots through Optimus Companions. lol. Sexbots saving a few heart attack victims or diagnosing their owners with life threatening illnesses will go a long way into establishing actual trust.

Reusable rockets that fly themselves back to the launchpad and land themselves upright? In FOUR years? Musk is an idiot!
