When fiction becomes truth, the rats get scared.

Weren't the left all freaking out about "Nazi book burners" when people on the right didn't want "My Two Daddies" read to kindergarteners?
Now they want to ban books from public libraries?

Schools… okay, I guess.. public libraries?? WTH?

But libs told me taking books out of schools -even ones depicting graphic gay sex acts- was a medieval act of censorship?!?!?

Do you have a link for this?
Either way, while I don't agree with book burning or banning books, I can say I'm sympathetic to their decision if true. Ayn Rand was an insufferable woman whose "magnum opus" is good for nothing but arse wipe.

Not seeing this reported anywhere. Link?

Why?
**There is no evidence that 'Atlas Shrugged' has been officially banned from schools and public libraries in Minnesota. **

Watch the 3 movie version of Atlas Shrugged and you will note that the political character named Mouch is the spitting image of Tampon Tim.

The Fountainhead is a bigger risk to Marxism, anyway. Atlas Shrugged is kind of a mess, but they're too stupid to know that.
I'm guessing that it's a per school/municipality ban, and there seems to be at least smoke (ETA: which resulted in a lawsuit which stopped this system being used, instead relying on parents and soft quote "qualified librarians":
ETA: There appear to be 16 banned books between 3 school districts in MN. At the current moment, Florida has far more districts banning books, and far more banned books (Hillsborough county alone has 608 banned books in FL) according to this site from Pen America (Freedom to Write.)

The website rates books on a scale of zero to five, with zero being "for everyone" and five being "aberrant." St. Francis banned books with a rating of three and above, according to the ACLU. If a book is already in the library and has a rating of three or above and is challenged, policy dictates that the book must be removed.
Since the policy change, the lawsuit claims at least 46 books were removed or are in the process of being removed from St. Francis schools.
Education Minnesota-St. Francis also filed a separate lawsuit over the book ban on behalf of eight students in the district whose parents are teachers.
That lawsuit claims the district's policy is "antithetical to the values of public education and encouraging discourse."
Both lawsuits allege the policy violates the Minnesota Constitution and state law, saying school districts cannot discriminate against viewpoints expressed in books and that it violates the right to free speech and to receive information, as well as the right to a uniform and adequate education.
"The Book Looks rating system that is now binding upon the school district discriminates extensively based on viewpoint, particularly with regard to topics of gender, race, and religion," the lawsuit said.

Momdani in New York will announce Monday that he is implementing controls on public speech that is antithetical to his program, similar to what is the current practice in England. Mentioning 'Atlas Shrugged' on the internet is used as an example of speech that will result in a home visit by his non-violent police force.

I cannot find any evidence of such a ban.
Frankly, I think you made this up.
