What made the NFL great was the build up week to week, waiting all week for Sunday and Monday. And you had the Thanksgiving Tradition. Almost like a TV show.

Now, its oversaturated to hell. Games on constantly, makes the product less special to me. I didn't give a shite about the Christmas games. I still watch it and love the Saints but its everywhere now and on constantly.

As a kid the wait all week was greatness, made it special.

Anyone agree?

I understand this will never change but it was great when you just had Sunday and Monday to look forward to it.

The build up all week made it special.

The majority of games have been awesome. You’re insane.

Also the Saints have great looking rookie QB. If you can’t find excitement in that, you might consider turning in your football fan card.

The NFL doesn't put enough games on. I do think they afternoon slate sucks mostly think yeah because it's all NFC/AFC South and Jets & Giants games.

I just want Thursday night games gone. The product is terrible 9 times out of 10 and they’re always littered with injuries.

I don't know but I love the 9am games on Sundays. Monday Night Football has lost a lot of appeal since Madden retired and it left ABC. Don't really care about the Thursday non-Thanksgiving games but some have been entertaining, but it isn't like I look forward to them like I do sunday.

Saturday NFL games during bowl season has been done since at least 1970 so that isn't anything new.

By and large, sports fans are inherently miserable wankers who hate everything.

I really only watch two teams, so it doesn't matter all that much to me. If anything, this is better because there are lower odds that they play in the same slot these days.

I don’t have a problem with the timing of the games, just the streaming merry go round they are aired on.

Not really an issue if your team is in the playoffs, or at least fighting for it. I don't mind during the month of December either way.

Agree i hardly watch the NFL at all anymore as it is.

But Thursday games are a horrible product. Plus with the weird nonsense about being on Prime, Peacock, Netflix etc. I’m not going around hunting to watch a game if it’s not on Fox/CBS/ESPN/NFL NETWORK. If it’s not on one of those four, I’m not watching.

Plus Christmas is an NBA day (not that i give a crap about the NBA) but if the TV is on in the background at Christmas, it’s left on the basketball games since that’s been their day for decades

It's a fair point. And both the NFL and CFB will continue to expand so it does take away some of what made it special. But there's no stopping it now.

Maybe if it was an all year sport but we only get football for 5 months. People are foaming at the mouth for football once September rolls around

That's all they care about.

You have like 15 weeks of Thursday, Sunday, Monday. Two weeks of holiday games and that's it. By the time the playoffs come, college football is basically over and it's just Saturdays and Sundays.

there's definitely something to be said for oversaturation. people also have attention span issues due to having so much information in front of their faces. I'd bet you that 90% of people watching NFL on TV are also on their phones distracted by fantasy football or tik tok.

Well if the NFL actually allowed fans to watch games on Sunday that would be one thing. You're lucky to be able to watch 3 games in the first two windows. Every game should be broadcast nationally. College does it fine.
