He’s been in scouting since 1st Grade. Over the years, I thought he would age out before he got it done, but thanks to the leaders in his troop, they made sure that he completed all requirements 3 weeks before his 18th birthday. He’s really enjoyed his journey in scouting and we’re so proud of him!

Regardless of how you feel about scouting today, it’s a lot of hard work from scouts and leaders, and earning your Eagle Scout is still quite an accomplishment.

Congrats to your son.
I had to scramble at the end with two stays at Avondale to catch up. Eagle Scout describes a young man in the best way possible

We painted a portion of a house for a non-profit in town. Another scout in his troop painted the other side a few months ago. It wasn’t my first pick of projects, but given the time constraints and the time of year, we went with one that didn’t take a lot of planning or fundraising.

Fun fact: Lowe’s will give scouts 50% off supplies for their Eagle project

Congrats! It’s quite an accomplishment! And congrats to mom & dad, too, bc he couldn’t have done it without you.

My two older boys are Eagle Scouts, the third boy should compete his within the year

The fourth boy dgaf

Not that the 4th boy has a choice bc my husband is an Eagle Scout, too.

My grandson isn't an Eagle Scout but was up for numerous awards. This is him at the ceremony, we are so proud of him.

Yeah I kind of lost respect for this accomplishment when I saw several kids in our troop getting Eagle by 8th grade.

Two good friends of mine were both Eagle Scouts

One’s project was replacing every American flag at public buildings in EBR with new ones. Took him months

The other brought a load of gravel in his F150 to a playground in Central. Took him about an hour and a half

Do they still get the all the congratulatory letters from current and past presidents, astronauts, and such?

Congrats on your Eagle Scout!

I find Eagle Scouts emblematic of the patriarchy, find it problematic and have requested to speak to the manager. Otherwise, that’s a pretty freaking awesome testament to your parenting skills as well. Congratulations.

Congrats to your son, and to you for being a good parent.

I was a scout and I did not try to make Eagle because I got interested in different things. Those that did go on and finish always earned my respect.

Wow. I’ve never seen you be a decent human being before. Did you have a head injury?
