Rev war
Edit: all the lack of technology, including medicine, of the civil war, plus the reality that if we lost the war England would do very bad things whereas with the CW we'd just not be separated. We were a small, fledging set of colonies. Much less infrastructure, etc. Much more to lose.

Obama : 2008- to Present
That’s when the woke mind virus began and it became fashionable to hate yourself because you are white and should be shamed.

The civil war not even close. It opened the door to the all powerful federal government.

1913: Federal Reserve and Federal Income taxes implemented.
Inflation and perpetual conflicts began.

It's got to be this and not remotely close.
Multiple battles being fought on US home soil. Even disregarding that, life in the mid-1800's was miserable.

I went out with a chick once who had a pretty bad cycle in 1994. I’d say it’s up there for worst period of my life at least.

Yep. I wasn’t living during that time frame.
I liked America post Civil War until 2008.

Great Depression or Civil War
I’d argue the Great Depression because it lasted like a decade

I'm not sure what you're basing that claim on, but the permanent growth of federal spending began during FDR's administration. Ultimately the foundation for this growth was created under Woodrow Wilson's presidency (the worst US president in my opinion).
Wilson passed the 16th amendment (gave congress the ability to tax income) and created the federal reserve system which has been detrimental to devaluing the dollar and lining the pockets of the wealthy and powerful.
However, no act of Wilson played a bigger role in increasing the size of the federal government than the 19th amendment. Before women could vote, the federal government would only grow during a time of war and would quickly fall to pre-war spending levels once the war concluded. However, women tend to vote in favor of social safety nets, and the federal government has steadily grew in size since the New Deal.
