Christmas Eve/Night fireworks

This is a new one for me this year. I’ve been hearing them off and on since the sun went down. New Year’s isn’t enough?
It doesn’t bother me or the dogs on a PTSD level, it’s just annoying to listen to. Apparently, there were some kids last night in my parents neighborhood driving around shooting fireworks after midnight. That would have pissed me off a lot.

In Central America - fireworks on Christmas are customary
So I always think of it as a Hispanic thing. There were fire works in Baton Rouge last night - maybe gun shots

There are Christmas fireworks to be heard around Atlanta, but not the kind you buy at a store and light.

When I was growing up people would get fireworks for Christmas.. Or get money and then go buy fireworks so Christmas night there were always people shooting fireworks.
It seems like its been awhile since I heard kids shooting fireworks on Christmas night. Fireworks used to be like gold growing up. In fact one Christmas night I had a jumping jack go into my jacket and it burned a hole in my brand new spuds mckenzie sweatshirt.

This. Definitely have noticed and appreciate ICE kept them quiet. They need to respect our tradition on Christmas Eve and Christmas of no fireworks and save it for NYE.

We live near a stand and they shoot off every night from about Dec 20th to Jan 2nd.

We're staying at my parents house way out in the woods. The only fireworks we hear were the two geart horned owls singing to each other down in the hollar.
I had a bluetooth speaker and found a great horned owl call on YouTube and managed to call them in within 100' of their back deck.
The big guy was ready to throw down!
